Why the hell is this hard?

THREE HOURS

I've been here for three smegging hours trying to automate this, it's driving me batshit insane.

That's all I want to do!

I have about 1000 drumloops, I want to cut them into 8 equal sized chunks. (Technically it'll be 16, since there's 2 bars, but I'll be deleting the back half since they typically don't play well with my music engine)

That's it!
That's all I want to do!
No magic.
No mystery.

Just cut the smegging wave into pieces.

Each wave is a 2 bar drumloop. I'm trying to cut them into 16 pieces, then use the first 8 pieces in my music engine.
I'm trying.. I'M REALLY TRYING!
But my mind's getting very very annoyed, and I'm going to stop.

Somebody, for the love of god, figure this out before my head pops.
