Colour Palette Generator

Really easy to get websafe colour palettes from an image.

Colour Palette Generator

I stumbled upon this while searching for colour palettes. Stick any base/reference image into it, and in a few seconds get a nice good [websafe] palette. Example.

Mind, it's not perfect.
When the image you're using isn't square/rectangular, and therefore has white around the edge, one of the colours in the palette will be white. In that case, you'll need to pick your own extra colour to have a 5-colour palette.

Also, when there's not enough of the main colour of the image, it probably won't show up in the palette. Example 2

I just think it's freaking awesome.

I use ColourLovers to get colour palettes when I just simply need a palette, but when I have a general theme for what the palette is supposed to be based around, this is a good way to figure out a palette based from an image.
