The ideas ferret of course! Running around gathering up ideas and bits of tat until I catch it then squeeze it's juices directly into my left eye, suddenly....an idea!

Other people, I have not had an original idea in my life.

Will use songwriting as an example. If I do not have things mentally closed off, the words, the music or the melody just seems to start flowing into me and it can be nonstop. I mentally can shut it down as it would otherwise continually flow. I need to shut it down, or I cannot concentrate on anything else I need to do. But when it is opened, it simply flows.

It can be like this for other creative things, but is not always that way like it is for music.

Dunno if that makes sense or I explained it well, but it is hard to describe. But seems to be similar for many musicians/songwriters.

Have you ever ghosted a friend?

More than likely, but never purposefully.
I'm shit at remembering to keep in touch with people.

Question of the Day : July 16th

If you had to swap bodies with one of your relatives for a day, who would you choose and why?

Gosh, that's a hard question.
But, honestly, everyone in the family has the capability to get outdoors and go for a nice long walk.
I'd pick anyone, right now.

Yes, when I get really depressed I withdraw and kinda disappear.

My cat. The life of a cat is laid back and not much is expected out of you. Since I share chicken tacos and roast beef sandwiches with him, I am sure he would do the same for me if we traded places.

Question of the Day : July 17th

If you had to create a virtual girlfriend or boyfriend like the nerds in Weird Science, what would they look like and how would they act?

They would sit silently in the corner until I'm done coding.
After I'm done coding, I will make use of them. .. by sitting them in front of the laptop and getting them to code something while I sleep.

Well if there was ever a question designed for me then...

!NSFW : Not Safe for Work!

I shall restart my Raspberry PI project once I've got a chunk of games finished off I think, Wi-Fi enabling such a thing, adding a microphone could resuld in a very cool project.

Nia Peeples. She is still incredibly cute and can still sing. We would work on music, together.

What's the longest you've had to wait for someone?

It's been a month and two days since we accepted an offer on the house, and we're still waiting for their surveyor.
Next Monday can't come quickly enough.. (And then the inevitable week-or-so wait for the report)

API support people, sometimes months before hearing things back from them, including chasing them up.

Indeed. Trying to get people to do things from the other side of the globe can be a right bugger, sometimes.
People often ask me why I don't do collabs for AGameAWeek. They really don't think it through!

Sometimes they're great, in the process of re-writing up our Royal Mail integration and their documentation is fanastic, except, they;d forgotten to add details for the initial authenication call which was frustrating, quick email an 30 mins later, an explanation of the fields I need to post, ideal! Sent them back a code sample in PHP to help them out with stuff, lovely

Ebay however, normally they're great but they changed policies on access for some areas and simply haven't provided any good documentation, aside from an SDK which would be fine except it requires a bunch of changes server-side which I don't view as safe when it relates to the rest of the existing code on the server, software versions, etc, etc. So, did a minimal version based upon their SDK aaaand nadda, no support from them unless I want to give them $75 an hour, disgusting behaviour.

Then, there's another one we've been dealing with, again, no decent documentation and when I eventually got a metting with them their representative mentioned how they get a lot of call and emails regarding getting their API integration working and how their dev team decided that "NO, the bare minimum is there, we don't want to add anything else to those worse programmers" Which made me respond with the simple suggestion that If they provided fuller documentation in the first place that they wouldn't be spending a good chunk of time dealing with so many requests. Sadly their "elite" dev team don't see it that way.

In the Army during basic training, I was feeling really bad and went on sick call, walked down to where the med stuff was. The Corporal who called my name and took me back to a room, never bothered to tell one of the Drs that he had put me back there. I sat there for FOUR hours waiting, and only got seen because a Dr came in for some supply and saw me and asked me why I was there, told him what happened and what time I had been brought in there. Normal Dr office, I would have peeked my head out and inquired as to the delay, or even left. In the Army, you have to follow orders, and the Corporal outranked me. Looked at it that I was being paid to sit there and wait.
