Ugh!
Shifted the SQL again.
This time we've done some BTTF style time travel.

We're now right back at the start, as I've hopped us all the way back to our original SQL server.
We originally moved from here because it was fried, but I've actually been testing it out all week and it seems to be pretty stable.

I guess we'll see if it really IS stable now that we've got everything active on here once again.
It's annoying having to do all this, but .. well.. them's the breaks.

At this point, Stealth will be going "Pay money, Go mad, Get happy site" and stuff.
I'm in absolutely no position whatsoever to throw any money at it, AT ALL.

Here at House of Jay, we're not exactly Flat-Broke, but things did get a wee bit tight around Xmas, there, for a bit, when my Sister lost her job, and everything looked a little bit more crappy than usual.
Right now, things are in an almost-stable way, and are definitely looking up.

But now's not the time to be paying for servers.
Now's actually the time to pay off that ridiculous electricity bill that seemed to crop out of nowhere.
What's the point of having everything be "Energy Saving", if your out-of-work sister sits at home with a smegging 2000watt heater switched on all smegging day... ...

OK, Now What?
I am NOT going to ask for donations, and I am NOT going to do that whiney cheap-ass "Find me a server" crap.
I HATE when sites do that!
.. And I don't trust that the option will always be there, and when it's not I'll be right back at square one, except with a much bigger requirement!

We'll struggle on.
I've already got the £80 that's needed to renew the GoDaddy, and I'll be paying that some time in the next week or two.
I'd rather do that first and foremost, because that gives us a year to sort things out, pick a nice new host, and settle into it.
Whereas... if I DON'T pay GoDaddy, it all goes tits up, we lose the domain name, yada yada..
So, yeah.. that's the important thing!!

After that we need options, so anything goes.

Let your thoughts spew forth!

My work for the next twenty-seven days still won't make me any money, because I still don't have a PayPal.
Until then, I'd be glad to send payments for my web dev work your way. At this point I'm literally telling people to send money to my last client just for the heck of it, cos I can't do anything with the money. xdxd

I should also be able to get you enough money to buy a hammer to 'accidentally' smash your sister's heater...

If the community could collectively scrape up $3 USD a week - which is £0.26 a day, we'd have more than enough money to continue with our current situation.
I totally understand that you'd rather not ask for donations, but I don't think it would be hard for a few members to give a dollar or two every once in awhile? I'd surely pitch in once I got my PayPal set up.

I could add another cloud instance for SoCoder on my hosting account. Each one is a 256 MB memory VPS. They are super speedy.

I'm sure a lot of the members here wouldn't mind pitching in just a few dollars or euros every month. If you start raising enough money from the members, I'm fairly sure we can move the cloud instance to it's own separate account for your own total control.

If that is not floating your boat, I would suggest you have the code inspected by a few members on SoCoder who are good at PHP. I know that DD is really good at SQL queries (with his long background at HSBC). I've done a lot of research on PHP preformance. We should be able to find a bunch of "pinch points" in the code.

This site can run on GoDaddy's hosting, it just needs to be a lot more optimized.

I own a reseller account for my web company, so I'd also be happy to host you too. We could also try and move over next week. Then you'd only have to pay for renewing the domain.
