My uncle gave me this 30 year old autograph of John Inman and a script for an episode of ’’Are You Being Served’’. Sort of random.

Random, but very cool and definitely collectable for those that do that sort of thing.

Are You Being Served? is still immensely popular, and rightly so. My 24 year old son, who wasn't even a twinkle when it came out, even enjoys it. A bona fide classic.

I'm more of a fan of Blackaddder and the young ones. I did watch a bit of the 'Are you being served' movie a while ago on Netflix or Prime.

I love BlackAdder and the Young Ones too (they are actually more my generation - I was a bit too young at the time for AYBS? but caught up later).

Basically I pretty much enjoy any British comedy from before the 2000s... There's not been many great ones since TBH.

As much as I love to hate Mrs Brown's Boys, there's a part of me that is really happy to know that the Studio Sitcom can still be a thing.
And a really popular thing, at that.

When it first appeared, I was slightly hopeful that it would be the start of a new era.
Didn't happen.
Bugger..

Stupid TV Execs don't know what they've got when it's staring them right in the audience figures.

I've tried to like Mrs Brown's Boys. But I can't.

There have been some good British comedies. Just not that many that will be remembered in 30 years time.
