Should this function work? Its suppose to delete the current filecheck type and reload the filenames and crc's of all the update files.....I use it to initially load the files in and it works....it just wont RELOAD anything...mavs out....

Its for my server. And its pretty hard testing my server with debug on a computer that is in another room..

Huh?`Are you actually testing your network code on two physically different PCs? Why on earth would you do that? Just test it on the same machine, using 127.0.0.1.

My computer isnt fast to run the server and the client...no video card. So I HAVE TO RUN on to different machines and its too much of a pain in the ass to run back and forth between rooms to test it.

afr0 - testing it on different machines is a good practice since it gives an unskewed performance model for a dedicated, and tests to see if the server is correctly routing to remote clients. It might be inconvienient, but you can always do what i do and remotely rekick the server (which i think Orion does, since he said he had been working on a remote admin system)

I concur, testing remotely will make testing new functionality easier. But it's still not the same as really running it on separate machines.

Its actually more difficult in my situation because the server is running on my kids computer on my account and I really dont like telling them no they cant use their own computer. I really need my file server up and I can run it on that machine...

Once in a while my server will mav out and that will require logging off that kid and signing on in my name and restarting it then let them fastuserswitch to their name again and its just too much to go through....
