I've always imagined that the guy put the end dialog on there, so that he knew the program was escaping to that point. Allows him to release all the windows OS stuff, there, incase your program fooks things up.

I think Tikihead is talking about the "close window" message for the WinBlitz3D DLL. (sorry that was the first link I could find)

If I understand your question correctly Tiki, I have no idea what the answer is.

To confirm:

1) have you tried adding 'end' to your program to end it to ensure it's not running out of code (I know this is a different close dialog, but it might appear under similar conditions)?

2) Have you also loaded files, and then freed them all, before ending?
