People (*Afr0) often look at me, and wonder why I've no drive.. No ambition..
In many ways, I appear to have given up on my quest for super stardom.

Let me tell you a little story..

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a world famous developer! That was my ambition! Then, whilst at college, I made a piddly little platform thing called JNKPlat. Everyone started calling me "that JNK guy" and things sort of clicked into place.

Then, one Sunday, I went to a local Car Boot Sale (a flea market/jumble sale, where folk go to sell their unwanted crap)
I was stood looking through a pile of Playstation 1 Demo disks that some guys were selling for 50p each. For what it's worth, I grabbed a handful, and had a jolly good time. .. I miss good demo disks!

Anyway, stood glancing through the list, two young lads were stood by my side, looking at all the full games, having a good nosey. I'd say, roughly, they were about 10 or 11..
One of them looked over at me, inquisitively..

"Are you that JNK guy?"
"...!!? Um... Yeah!"
"I love that game. We play it all the time!"
"....! Ok.. Cool!"

... And then the kids wandered off, happy that they'd met the JNK guy.

I'm not sure exactly why I appear to be content with that, but apparently I am. It's an odd event, unlikely to be repeated, and yet it's one that stick out in my mind as a turning point, where I went from "wanting to be famous" to being quite content that, somewhere, someone's loved my game.

And so, I continue on that quest.
Fame would be great. Fortune would be excellent!! But in the end, I feel I'm happy knowing that kids around the world are playing my game, and getting a kick out of it.

So.. What's your ambition?
Where's your drive?
What do you want to be?

I jut want to come up with something better than the last something I came up with that people enjoyed (AquaVenture).

Sadly, it's not coming and I haven't coded anything for months. However, some (most) of that time has been down to the insanely addictive qualities of Fire Emblem: Awakening and Animal Crossing; New Leaf - both on 3DS.

Please someone, remove the 3DS from my ever clutching fingers!
