One of the major points of Socoder is that it's still bloody well here! So far, somehow, I've managed to keep everything up and running, and although the database has continued to swell to ludicrous proportions, I've not needed to dig through and delete stuff. Other sites have a sort of deadline, and once a topic/post reaches a certain age, they delete it, or set it to Read-Only. I always hated that, so I've made it one of the points on here, that if you find a thread useful, you probably should be able to reply to it. Similarly, if you're digging through the showcases and find a 5 year old game, you should be able to comment on it. Every post is worthwhile, and by keeping everything "alive" I hope that we never have to deal with the whole "BlitzCoder's Gone!", "CodersWorkshop's Gone, too!!" crap again. The fact that so many people, so many faces, posted SO much content, and they're .. gone!!! .. I find that annoying in a way that can't be described without swearing at the evil Duck Dragon. I ask that, in future, if anyone wants to leave Socoder, they simply ask me to remove their account, which I will do without fuss. I can rebrand you, change all your posts to an anonymous account, and otherwise kill you off in that way. It's much neater, cleaner, and means that all your content survives intact for future generations to read and interact with, should they feel the need. -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''
