 		Who remembers the ’’multimedia pc’’ at school? That one pc in the library that had a CDROM drive, so you could watch postage stamp size video clips of Star wars from the encyclopedia cd ..

 		Such a huge difference from Primary School, though, when the BBC Micro was the only computer in the whole school!! You knew you were going to have an interesting lesson when the desk got rolled into the classroom.

 		Ours didn't have a CD tray, you had to load the disc into a boxy thing and slot it into the drive, probably scratched the hell out of the discs.

 		We had older tech then. I did see people secretly installing games on the pc's. Leisure suite larry 1.

They would not believe there were computers then that had more than 1000 colors. The Amiga Ham mode. No Internet to look up specs.

 		When I started High school we still had loads of Acorn BBCs there and then loads of Archimedes by the time I left, the rest of the computers there were Amstrad PCWs. Not bad for what the education board said was a school for underachievers.
