I never used PHP. I took a look at the list.
whoa...this looks like a complete and extensive programming language in itself.

It's a scripting language, not a programming one, but it's my favourite language that I've ever used. Not only is it powerful, but it's a joy to work with - no faffing about like in C++ trying to get text/strings to work properly. It's great to use.

It's for websites, like this one here, and with MySQL databases it does fancy things like run forums.

PHP is definitely a cool language. Close enough to C to be nice, but with a lot of extras that speed up development time and make it work for web pages. It's nice.
