But..
Today, in the UK, the XBox 360 Arcade shot down in price to £129.00
Even in my crapola, usually 100*the price, Home Shopping Catalogue.

..
I've moaned about RROD before.
I've complained about my lack of "3 must buy"
But..
£129.00!
The Wii's £50 more in the catalogue!! Bargain!

So, I ordered one..

*cough*

QOTD : What've you been absolutely adamant that you wouldn't buy.. Until it got really really cheap!

This also includes Lemmings Revolution.. Good game, but So much like Lemmings 1..

Not really ontopic, but near enough:-

I bought a laptop from Tiny years ago, cost £1300, and it lasted a year, broke 2 times prior to that mind...

Basically, the third and final time, I got on the phone, £1.50 a minute, got sent round in circles with automated messages and got nowhere in 1 1/2 hours.

Give up, watched the news... Tiny gone bust! Damn!!!

Give the laptop to a friend to take a look for me, after a couple of days he told me to pop round his as he had some bad news!

He showed me various sites/forums regarding the model laptop I had and people going berserk with Tiny...

Found out that the fan in the laptop was worth... around £3 and it had a working life of 6 months.

Not only that, the entire guts of the machine was built with sheer crap and it was a knocky bet it would've died!

Then I found that the cost of a new 'cheapo' fan rocketed to £45 from suppliers around the UK... Obviously they sharp found that this crappy piece of fan was now worth a fortune with literally 1000's of broken/to break laptops around the country. Especially since they only last half a bloody year.

I posted the laptop on Ebay for spares and got £120 for it, which probably didnt even cover the phone calls to Tiny's 'Support'!!!

After that I vowed never to buy a laptop again, nor a machine from any PC builder...

And after that vow, I've since bought 1 computer and 3 laptops (Baring in mind one laptop only cost £25)!!!

Well I'm not sure if this fits in this post but its about the same ground as well.

We have never been able to afford anything nice right away. Unless its around tax time when we have $4000++ to blow due to over paid taxes. At any rate other than that 1 month of time (or less, yes we blow it quickly) we usually have to RENT TO OWN anything else nice. Our 42 widescreen, couch, fridge, my first pc, laptop (got stolen), my bedroom suite, and our washer and dryer combo (which we are still paying on! Only thing tho.). Now I know if we just took the money that we use to pay on these items and just set it aside until we had enough to buy these things at a WAY cheaper price we could afford them. But for some reason we have this issue with spending money that is left over from the bills.

So we are too lazy to save it up i guess.

Well...

I finally splurged on a 52'' LCD TV, nice little chunk of cash. It was on sale for 895$, but then an infuriating thing occurred: they released a better version of the same model for only 800$, leaving me feeling jipped. i hate when that crap happens, so i learned my lesson on WAITING.

...which is why i haven't bought a new game console yet, im waiting until they bottom out, then i can pick up what little quality games they have instead of gripping at thread waiting on next said release, which could be never! Last sit-down console i bought was a gamecube, 20 dollars!

I'm the cheapest of skates.
If its crap, and it goes down in price
I wouldn't buy it anyway.
