Socoder -> On Topic -> OUYA Emulators - Experience

At the request of GBATemp's Another World, I spent some time, this morning, playing about with the various emulators on the OUYA Store.

I must admit, I wasn't expecting it to be as powerful as it turned out to be.
If you're after a cheap emu-box, this is probably the way to do it!

A WHOLE LOT of the emulators have been ported by the same guy, so they all feature the same interface, and work nicely.
Stick your roms onto a USB stick, and you can access them from the emu's menu.

Good

Atari 2600 (2600.emu) - Hero ran silkily smoothly, no problems.

Snes (Snes9x EX+) - Super Mario AllStars, World and Kart all seemed to have no problems whatsoever.

MegaDrive/Genesis (MD.emu) - Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Time Attack mode (which uses the 2 player stuff) ran without any issues.
Sonic CD required me to setup the SegaCD Bios rom, and played without any music. Shame.. But it did work, and smoothly, too! (Taxman's Sonic CD remake is also available on the OUYA store, though!!)

Gameboy/Color (GBC.emu) - Tetris DX and Super Mario DX both ran without any issues.

Gameboy Advanced (GBA.emu) - Rhythm Tengoku made Controller Lag quite apparent. That's really not a good game for testing!! Sonic Advanced and Wario Ware both played well.

N64 (Mugen64 Plus AE) - Mario 64 ran nice and smoothly. Um.. Not sure what else to try on there!!

Bad

PSX (FPse for OUYA) - I booted up Destruction Derby 2, and managed to get as far as the game's main menu, before the emulator decided that that was plenty, and started nagging me to purchase it. I swiftly told it to fuck off, and deleted it.
It seemed silky smooth up to that point, but whether it'll keep up when ingame is another matter.
I wasn't willing to pay to find out.

Amiga (UAE4All2) - This one's not in the OUYA market, so I had to track down an .apk for it. Seems to like the controller, but asked me for a system rom, and then.. um. didn't actually ask me where the system rom was..
And I couldn't find an option, anywhere, to tell it where it was..
So.. um... I couldn't play Deluxe Galaga..

Untested

At no point did I attempt multiplayer controller stuff. I'm assuming, however, that it works, because the guy that's put these emulators together has done a bloody great job doing it.
