damit, something corrupted my hdd and now windows is stuck in a boot loop that it can't repair itself out of good job I never removed the OS X partition, at least I can attempt to backup all my crap.

Had Windows/OSX under Bootcamp twice in the past. Both times the whole thing has fucked itself up within weeks.

Want windows? Get a proper computer.

Well it seems that the drive itself is fine, I'll just put the old drive as the secondary one and copy the files that way.
However, it looks like you can't install Windows on a mac directly. A ma will ONLY boot an osx formatted drive. So I have to install odd first, risize the partition to as small as it will go, then install Windows on the remaining space and set the Windows partition as the default OS.
That's going to take at least twice as long.
