Wizmo

Wizmo is a multi-purpose, miscellaneous Windows function, "catch all" with a growing list of uncommon but useful features and capabilities.

Download, and chuck into your windows folder, so you can use it via command line.

It's quite handy for screensaver activation and hopefully the "Reboot!" (Pronounced "Reboot Dammit!") option might help when Windows just refuses.

Course, it's only really handy when you have a shortcut to the command prompt in your Quick Launch bar. Everyone should though, it's what smart people do.

I actually installed this a while ago. It's hooked up to a button on my remote so that I can turn off the monitor without having to put the whole system on standby.
Cracking piece of software.

Would it be any use for my 14 button gamepad remote? (14 button psx remote through a use converter detected and a 14 button joystick)

It's not specific to the remote.. It's just a CLI proggy. So if you can map a button on your remote to send a command line command, then yes.. You can get it to run Wizmo. There's plenty of little things it can do.
