They used to dye the river green in Milwaukee, as well, but they stopped because it’s so polluted the dye might be the last straw for the fish.

I've had fish in batter but would never want fish in green dye.

I wondered about that. If the dye would affect the wildlife.

The dyes used are allegedly environmentally friendly. But they said that cigarettes were healthy too...
