Rather you than me! Couldn't the owners of the cars dig them out themselves?

erk, that's not good. Maybe a good idea to get that checked if it doesn't go away.

Driving in snow depends on the car. I have no problems with my car (although I did 180 one year), but my work van was complete bastard in the last heavy load we had. It was an automatic and just didn't have the torque or control to go up even a slight incline covered in compressed snow.

Looks like we're going to be lucky this year, snow-wise. Especially good since my work moved to a new location and it has a really steep slope leading down to it - the van would just shout "Fuck off!" to us in a light frost methinks!

I drive an Astra 1.7 DTi, being front-wheel drive helps as long as some other lop-pot doesn't drive like a nause in return causing panic braking.

When I was younger, people used to pay for that to be done.
Some would spent two days digging cars out of snow that nearly covered the roof of the cars.

In this country it's the opposite. If you shovel a pathway and someone slips on it you are held directly accountable for any injuries. The snow is an act of God (who can't be sued), whereas clearing the path is an act of man (who can be).

Schools close around here for "snow days" the moment there's more than a cm of snow on the ground.
