I know this fire is bad for many reasons, but this is a total dick move.

I swear some days, if I didn't need my PCs for work, I'd smash every single motherfucking one of them to pieces.

OT: I used to be with Zen Internet many years ago, early 2000s. Always had great service and only left because others were starting to have much lower prices.
What you said about reducing the connection speed rings true tho. Had a ton of router issues *snip*

Worrying times.

London Tower Fire

15th June 2017

Two things.
1. How did the initial fire start, and go on for long enough to set fire to the outer wall?
2. How many other apartment blocks have the same outer cladding?
3. What the fuck is up with building regs when its OK to cover a block of flats in h*snip*

Just catching up with events on ITN. You've got to say, there are some proper fucking decent people in this country. They all pull together when the shit hits the fan.

GfK

London Tower Fire

They're doing checks on similar refurbs now - seems to suggest they know it spread so fast cos of the outer cladding. In that case you have to wonder where the blame will rest.

London Tower Fire

I suspect ''my fridge exploded'' might be a bit overly dramatised. More like a capacitor went pop.
Unless he was storing explodey things in the fridge but let's not go down that route, even though I'm sure the 't' word has crossed *snip*

London Tower Fire

14th June 2017

A guy on news says his neighbour ''in the house where it started'' was telling people to get out cos his fridge freezer had exploded.
If that's true, shit will hit the fan if it's an iffy Beko one again. They've had product recalls on*snip*

London Tower Fire

It's all a bit suspect. Flats have to be fireproofed between floors and there should have been many closed firedoors inside.
Also it boggles the mind that there are no external fire escapes in places like this.

Hey... Fever!!

Fenugreek extract is also good for hayfever. Mix it into food such as curry or something.
If you were stupid enough to just eat a spoon of it, it all clumps together like cement and tastes fucking rank. Do not ask me how I know this. :/

GfK

Hey... Fever!!

13th June 2017

I take those too but it's more habit than anything else, as they don't seem to do feck-all.
Years ago - mid 80s - I used to have weekly injections at the doctors... Norisen Grass it was called. Worked amazingly well for two years, no hayfever at *snip*

Hey... Fever!!

Probly is. Opticrom eye drops work. Also I found nasal sprays to work really well... with the downside that they can (and in my case, do) cause nose bleeds, which is worse than the hayfever.

Router Rebooter

No, because that was the only thing that was using 802.11ac protocol on 5GHz, and even the 2.4GHz connections were dropping out randomly.
I just stuck with 2.4GHz and 802.11n as I couldn't be arsed trying to get to the bottom of it any more. This was*snip*

Thing with my router - BT Home Hub 5, is that certain things (phone, sky box, laptop) disconnect randomly from the router if I have the 5GHz band enabled.
Which is a bit of a bastard as I bought an 802.11ac wifi adapter for my PC so I could pull stuff fro*snip*

Mine has done a bit in Locomotive Basic (CPC464) but I've not yet let her loose with a PC. I think they teach programming in primary schools year 4 or 5 now to some extent so she might be more into it (or not) next year.

Router Rebooter

BT routers (at least) do automatic firmware updates - usually at night, so they can often reboot themselves and have to reconnect. Also, no reason at all why the firmware should be bug-free - routers can crap out too, just like PCs, or Sky boxes, or anyth*snip*
