I've always loved Cel Shaded, but it kinda got overused when it first became a ''thing'', and the higher the resolution in modern games, the worse it seems to mix with the graphics.
I think the best version of it was Wacky Races on the Dreamca*snip*

I've found Opera to be astoundingly fast at runtime JavaScript compiling, so if you find yourself doing anything ''gamey'' in the browser, that's the one to go for.
