Spaceship Sim

A small space project I've been fooling around with. (Inspired by Star Trek)

How it works:

The first thing you'll see when you run the game is a square with all kinds of dots in it. This is your map. The large square is a planet, the small moving squares are asteroids. Your ship is represented by the x. Once you get the ship moving you'll notice that small dots will mark your path.

As captain on the bridge of a large spaceship, you must give orders to your crew. The entire game is controlled with text. Your commands are:

-"Set Degree/Turn/Rotate [degrees]" Use positive numbers to rotate right, and negative numbers to rotate left.

-"Set Speed [speed]" where speed is a percentage, 100% being the fastest your ship can travel.

-"View/Show/Display [display]" where display can be either the 'map', the 'porthole', or 'stats'.

Latest Update

Not much to the project at the moment. Make sure to take a look through the porthole, and check out the lovely planet SoCoder. Source code is included.

I really like the idea, it's a shame there isn't much too it.
