Mmm.. Chocolate eggs..

Having stopped eating chocolate for about a year and a half, the next few days, with a huge pile of chocolate eggs sat behind me on the kitchen bench, are going to be killer.

Still, it's Easter, and aside from me getting over-excited at the prospect of New Red Dwarf, and New Dr Who, I'd actually kind of forgotten that today was Easter Friday. (Hence the lack of theme, today!)
Aw well..

Happy Easter anyway, if indeed your religion leans that way.

QOTD, if this were in the QOTD area, would be.. Are you celebrating Easter, or has your household lost any and all religious interest?

Easter is religious? Nah, just kidding. But it's pretty much lost any connections to Jesus it ever had. At least over here. We decorate the house with chickens and eggs, so I guess that we celebrate it (and there's lots of chocolate to be consumed).

Ditto to Phoenix.
My sister is LITERALLY (no exaggeration) getting TEN POUNDS (160 oz!) of chocolate on Easter. She gave up eating chocolate for Lent, and that's her reward... Or something... Although when I tried to get my dad to give me 10 pounds of computers if for Lent, I gave up eating computers, IT DIDN'T WORK!!! Now I'm pissed.

Anyone else have any interesting stories?

My family has pretty much converted to atheism or some form of I-just-don't-care-ism, but we still celebrate Easter. As with all religious holidays, we just see it as a chance to get together, which I feel is far more important than Jesus anyway.

Easter's on Sunday?

today's passover/good Friday or something. At least, with the Catholic church it is. I don't know about the Anglican/Lutheran/some other protestant churches, let alone the orthodox ones.

But! Happy Easter anyway to you all! Hope you're all full of family, (jesus || rabbits), (church || chocolate) and etc.

If I'm eating a hot-cross-bun, then it's easter!!!

Yeah, technically it's Easter Sunday, but since the whole weekend's all part+parcel, most folk consider Good Friday to be "part of Easter".

I have a rather large family, with a mix of everyone: atheists, Protestants, Catholics, etc.. makes for an interesting Easter!

I'm not religious but I do enjoy the holiday.
