Ok, this is probably me just being stupid but how do you actually get programs onto a nintendo DS. My sister got one for christmas and i want to make some programs for it.

This is probably me just being stupid, but how can I?

HOMEBREW...
Buy a compatible flash card system.

The one I use is a Datel Max Media Dock.
For the most part it's good enough, but the file system's a little off, so don't expect to be able to load+save stuff easily. (It can be done.. I just haven't worked it out, yet!)

But you can compile games with sound and graphics included, so don't be put off by that.
I really should get round to writing that guide!

In the meantime, the MMD can be purchased from either Datel's website (Codejunkies.com), or from Amazon herefor a few £'s less. (That's where I got it from)

They've also released This But I haven't tried it, so I can't vouch for it being any good. (Although if you do buy that, it's got my Stringy Things already on it, so there's no need to download that seperately )

Cheers

I know this will sound mad, but would it be possible, using a wireless card on your computer and a program on you computer to use DS download play to do Homebrew, then it would be even better for what i have in mind

Yes, and no... But mostly no.. You'd need to rewrite the DS's Firmware first.
It's not something I'd like to attempt, to be honest!

yeah,

maybe I'll get a Nintendo DS and also get that MMD from Datel or something compatible.

Yeah, who knows I'll probably modify and improve on the DS game of 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.' Turn it into
'Zack and Cody Making Life Hell....for everybody else!'
first person shooter to well at least capture the brats. You can play the mom, the hotel assistant, or even the cleaning maid. If the maid, then you have bottles of acids to shoot and soaps to wash their mouths out with.

Also, hey, how about Barbies Pink Pony Adventures? Probably will sell well. true

Surely you should be working on Hydra coding, though, shouldn't you Mousey?

yes Jay,

I should.

But to make life hell for Zack and Cody and even in a first persoon shooter would be more fun.

I don't what it is, Jay. But I seem to be motivated and maybe obssesed to do these 3d animations and logos and images. They just come to me. And I like to do them and I learn them.

okay, okay I'm going to get off now and hook my Titan Hydra up. And read and follow the book to how to set it up.

cheers,
c y all,

just C/C++ and assembler

since i just learned C++ and am selling my PSP soon i might get a card reader set for my DS and code for it if i have any money left over from getting a creative zen

also i heard that card readers that support FAT32 are better for saving

Yes, FAT32 devices are better, but each one seems to work differently, driver wise!

Thankfully Chism's FatLib* routines seems to take care of most things. The latest version of which iss also meant to work on Max Media Docks, but I haven't managed to test the thing, yet.

* I'd link to his FatLib stuff, but his site seems to be a little overwhelmed right now! You should get the latest version of FatLib downloaded automatically with DevKit Pro.
