Yes! Imagine if Elite/Frontier were remade as a show. It's very much like that, with the whole universe being a set of towns/villages existing around their colonial market town/whatever.. Storyline wise, it follows one captain, his small trade ship, and his crew, as they go from trade-point to trade-point, and all those nasty events that crop up along the way. You DO need to give it a couple of episodes, though. The setup's a bit lengthy, and the whole "It's a Western!?" thing seems very out of place. It isn't, and after an eppy or two, you'll understand why it's Western-y! |edit| Oh, and if anyone ever wants to start watching Stargate, DO NOT start from the beginning!!! Start from Season 4! Make sure to watch it in the order it's (arguably) meant to be watched in; the order the DVD set is in is correct, IIRC. Lots of fun though.

I hate westerns, and I still hate Firefly's theme song (at least it's short), but, yeah, the show is excellent, barring a couple episodes which are still good.
