No point recapping my year.. You all know how that went! But if you'd like a few links to read, head here!

That's me.
What about you?
Did your year work out as you'd hoped?
Did everything go as planned?
Were there any unexpected brain tumours along the way?
Tell all! It's the end of the year! Lets hear it!

My year took an unexpected turn this summer, because my dad managed to talk me into applying to different universities, mainly because I failed 1/3 exams during my first semester studying Art History.
Shockingly, I got accepted into journalism in Bodø (I was absolutely sure my GPA wasn't high enough!), and I ended up going there instead. In terms of school, it has been an improvement, as my motivation is higher. I like art and art history, but I couldn't see myself working at a museum.
I miss my old friends, but I traveled to Trondheim to visit them once this Autumn, and I will do it again in February.
The advantage of studying in Bodø is that because it is so far north, sending letters to Moscow is much faster. The disadvantage is that journalism is... well, it has been likened to being in a military camp. The schedual is tight, with tons of deadlines, so I haven't had as much time to work on Project Dollhouse.
Of course, none of this matters, as my plan is to work for EA once Project Dollhouse is finished (this guy actually got offered a job by EA!). Or at the very least, writing an informative article about a day in the life of an EA programmer...

Well, this year I finished my A-Levels and got into Oxford University to study Maths and Computer Science. The first term has finished and I'm back home now, and it's certainly been an very busy and enjoyable term.

Coding-wise, I've had two very big projects this year. The first was my A-Level Computing coursework, which ended up being a scoring system for school sports events, implemented as a web-based interface to replace some old spreadsheets that were a pain to use. It took quite a bit of effort, but it worked very well and is ready to be used for future events, which is cool.

My second project was, with one or two other people, writing an entire CMS from the ground up for our school's (again) new website. There are still things we plan to tweak and change in the future as time allows, but that also seems to have been a success (so far), and was certainly an interesting experience!

I started the year living with my parents and skint because all my money was going to moving out again. At least I had real internets.
In March I moved across the country and have been skint ever since because it took 6 months to find any work. And my only internets are through my phone.

My life is sooo interesting.
