Sorry to any developer who feels you deserve a part of the second-hand market... YOU DON'T! It is idiotic to imagine you do! Stop it! And while there's no law to stop you from making a console game that I can't play on my friend's console, or my own replacement console for your shitty short-lived tech, there's no chance in hell you'll convince me to buy such a thing. -=-=- All the raw, animal magnetism of a rutabaga.

What they fail to realise is that sales of full price games will also be hit by this as people sell their old games to buy new ones. I thought that the new EU laws forbade this type of thing - that once you had paid your money you DO actually own it and can do with it as you wish, including selling it. Whether it be a house, a car or software. This even includes downloaded software IIRC - I'm at work now so can't go searching for the actual legislation. An expensive download-only future awaits...  |
