I've been busy monkifying my remake of Mutant Monty. Please could you test this early HTML5 test release?. Very buggy at the moment.

Thanx peeps.

Space starts game.
Escape takes you back to the title screen.
Z and X switches through the levels. (For test purposes)

Arrow keys control the character and holding an arrow key makes him run faster.

Thanx Kuron.

I also need to point out that the character conforms to grid-aligned movement, this isn't a bug, it's the same movement as the Amstrad CPC version.

One thing I am puzzled with... When the gold is picked up it's supposed to play a sound for every pickup, but it just plays once if there are many to grab at once. I will upload the version with audio when I get home later.

As far as I'm aware, Monkey is iffy with sound file types, well, not monkey on its own, browser support is to blame, but, I think its generally just there's no standard, as well as, sometimes MServer and IE fall out when running from the IDE and sound is dropped.

If you can, use Flash instead of HTML5 target, seems a bit nicer.

I've updated the link, this time with some sounds.

Press X twice, until you get to the level with the two elevators, then collect the three pickups in the center part. You will then hear what I'm rambling on about.

@Dabz: I think I will take your advice and target Flash, I just need to install and configure the necessary jiggery pokery then I will attempt to compile for that target.
