Is it dead?, I was thinking about bringing PMC to the attention of the coding teacher at my son's school. I also found a new thread over there, someone is suggesting a new forum. (Linkage) |

If Joe and his workfriends are planning to abandon this, due to being super busy probably; then maybe PMC could be handed over to a non-profit organisation as it would serve as the ultimate free to use tool for teaching coding in schools etc.

Joe's not been around much, but I think he's probably still grudging away at the background stuff. Maybe.. I hope so, anyway. Haven't heard much from Joe, lately.

Joe did such a good job with PMC, it would just be such a shame to waste it. I hope he's doing well with what ever he's doing nowadays. |

The school will be teaching coding as of September, starting with year 9, I put my name down as a volunteer for the after school club that they will be running. I was planning to include PMC as a way of giving kids the idea of knowing they can use more than one language, in addition to the Python lessons they will get from the class.

Lee said his teacher was currently teaching his year-8 class Scratch, his teacher actually muttered the words "it would be so much better if the school could use BlitzBasic!". When I last spoke to his teacher I asked her if she had heard of Monkey, she says she has but hasn't used it yet. We both agree on drag 'n' drop, such as Scratch and GameMaker, being a pain in the chad. |
