Cheers Mr K!

The bonus of that listing is it comes with a modulator for the tele, their on eBay for £40 or something, and the cpc itself is sometimes over 100 English snots... So I really have bagged a bargain for 60 knock!

A bargain at twice the price. Actually, what you got was a steal!

Seems there's no monitor, but with the mod that's no biggie.

Nice one

Plus, as an added bonus, without the monitor it's approximately 17,000 tonnes lighter!!!

Mmmmmmm picture was terrible under the modulator, so chucked the scart on... Grafting but it's black and white... Obviously rgb is a no go on my tele... The worry is, I have zero electronic moddy type skills, so haven't got a clue what's going on, the rgb bit (my tele [maybe] isn't compatible) is the only sense I can make from the cpcwiki article dawlane posted at bb.com! lol

Any advice?

I've got one of those.. It's coming out in "green screen"
I'm not sure if that's 1) a faulty wire, 2) a fault with the CPC, or as Dabz says, 3) just the telly being shit.
.. Since I'd gotten rid of all my CRTs by the time I got the wire, I've no way to test option 3, but I'm assuming it's #3, 'cos.. Um.. *fingers crossed*

Anyway, I still need to fix the drive, first. That's much more important. Kinda useless without that!!!

This one seems to have a female jack connector, and it states: "An external 12V power supply with a 2.1mm jack plug is required to activate RGB mode"

Not sure if this helps, but might give insight on further investigation.

Well, got a new tele... With a scart(rgb) port... Fail!

I have that setup steve, there's a 12v cable hanging out the back of the keyboard that plugs into said jack (also it plugs into the modulator)

I've tuned the picture up to a green screen affair:-

Looks a bit bright on the photo but it's not bright and easy on the eye... Will have to do for now! No biggy hehehe

I think I've sussed it!

The 12v cable that comes out of the unit itself is to feed the disk drive lecky... I had no idea what it was before tonight, this cable goes into the left hand side of the original monitor or into the modulator, plugging it into the female jack that runs up to the scart itself does sweet f.a. as there no juice in there... Which I'm pleased... Fried tv only 30 mins old! So, with that, I think I need to find an adapter that spits out 1.5v to kick it into rgb input because since there's nowt there... It's composite!

Bare in mind, it's a thought... As I really have no idea about what I'm banging on about! hehehe
