Atari doesnt have right to Block HIS Game as he did all the coding and so his Game....not their! FFS! I was laughing when I read his twitter when he say I'd play this.

They paid him to make Tempest2000 didn't they? Anyway, they probably believe they own all rights to any remakes or clones, but from what I remember, you can't copyright a game concept or mechanic, so as long as he doesn't use any of the assets used for T2k or directly copy+pastes the source code, they they don't have a leg to stand on. They do however have enough money to counter any move he makes and bankrupt any self defence efforts.

I read some of the C&D, and there are *some* things they could make legitimate claim about, such as the yellow "claw" ship. But they also claim they own vector graphics and perspective drawing, so... -=-=- All the raw, animal magnetism of a rutabaga.
