Haven't been sleeping well, at all, this week.
Mind keeps playing out silly little question/answer scenarios in my head as I'm trying to get to sleep.

This'd better be over, soon.. :\

A lot of stress can make a person ill. Be sure to keep your mind steady. Keep the emotions in check.

When I was younger and started voice acting I discovered that in order to think you need to work the voice organs(talk very softly) If you keep that organ quiet/imovable then the mind wil not think. With me it is anyway.

Yeah, oddly similar to that. I find myself struggling to tweet as @Platdude, because he doesn't have a voice!
@ALODARE IS ESSEY COS I KAN HERE HIS VOYS IN MY HED AS I TIPE IT AND IT CUMS OWT GUDLY. But @Platdude.. Creepily silent!

Nowadays I usually try to write as if I'm his narrator. That seems to work best.

Do you drink beer(alcohol?)

I find that two or so beers help me feel a bit better/happier.

I hope things go well today.

Edit: server is messed up yeah. This post came in and placed it before the last post

Today's the big day.
I've inexplicably woken up at 6am, even though the Tribunal isn't scheduled until 2:45.
I expect I'll be mostly asleep by that point!!

Butterflies in my tummy. Worried thoughts whizzing around my head. Panic...
All wonderful things to have to put up with :/

My fingers will be crossed for much of today.

LOL.. Server fudgeup! Sorry folks. It doesn't like having the time updated!

I'm not much of a drinker, I'm afraid.
I enjoy a Baileys from time to time, but .. Nah.
I prefer to be clear in my head, so I can continue to create broken websites that don't quite work as expected

All the best Jay. The reports should defintiely all work in your favour and they should have copies of them, but take yours anyway. Take anything and everything with you that shows how you generally are, including ALL reports, results, documentation and a diary of GP/hospital/physio appointments from since you were first diagnosed with a problem etc.

Don't accept (or let them know) that you can do things on a "good day" like walk to the shops. That's an exception, not the norm. Let them know that on some days even getting out of bed is a struggle. List your physical symptoms before, during and since surgery. List all your nedications - past and current. Tell them honestly that you need your Mum to take care of you, and that if you were living independently you couldn't have managed. Let them know that you have only limited contact with the outside world and that a social life no longer exists.

Don't have a "Yes I can do that" attitude to any questions - always make sure that you let them know that anything and everything is a struggle or damned near impossible - with or without help.

And most importly, don't give up. Keep on fighting.

Good luck

If they find out you can cook a pot noodle they'll have you on as head chef at Wetherspoons.

Here's approximately what happened.

Waiting Room
Spent a good half hour or so, waiting.
Our own fault, we got there early.
The Welfare Rights lady joined us after about 5 minutes, and we sat chatting and waiting.
She guided me through what might happen, all the questions, and how Mum oughta sit back and let things happen. She'll be asked all her opinions at the end.

Tribunal
We walked in and sat down.
They said they'd watched me walking towards the building.
They said there was a MASSIVE difference between my first and recent assessment.
They said.. "You're not any better.."
They said... "This second assessment is rubbish."
Then they said... "Ok, That'll do."

Job done.
Took about 5 minutes in there, and there were little or no questions asked.
They saw.
They knew.
And they did their job exactly the way they should've.

Un-bloody-believable!

GETS!!!!

Such a weight off my mind. I slept like a log, last night. First good night's sleep I've had in weeks.. (other than the sheer-exhaustion based power-sleeps, anyway!!)

I know that I've been extremely lucky, there, though.
Trying to describe feeling of nausea and dizziness when people can't "see" them, makes for a hard battle.

Makes me wonder how HotShot got on with his stuff.

Glad its all worked out for you Jay!

Now do you get "back pay" and "stress pay"?
Sat, 28 May 2016, 01:21
Jayenkai
Back pay, not sure. I think that's a case by case basis, or something. No idea, ot be honest.

As for Stress pay, if they had to pay that out, there'd be millions paid out every week!!

Back pay is pretty much a certainty Jay. All our service users have had back pay at some point due to interruption or change of benefits (from moving from hospital to residential accomodation etc).

As yours was halted while they did the investigation, you should be reimbursed the full amount for the full time that you did not receive any. Like I said earlier, drinks are on you!

Stress pay? LOL!
Sat, 28 May 2016, 02:17
Jayenkai
Except it'd be less drinks, more "desperately need to pay for the server! We've only got a couple of months left on it!!"

Also, we need to get the house Repointed, so realistically if there's any back payment at all, that'd be it gone straight away.
Bah, humbug!!!
No treats for Jay!

So.. Yeah, we've got someone lined up already, and Uncle Moneybags will be helping out if need be

... Still waiting.

I know they said "up to 12 weeks", but .. Bloody hell!!

Meanwhile, Mum's having to fight with the Job Center every damn week.
They know I've won my case, so are being somewhat lenient, but technically mum still has to sign on, until she can be my Official Carer again, and she can't be that until I've got my PIP back, properly.
It's a complete pain in the fucking arse, all around.

I really do wish these people would hurry up and do what they're supposed to be doing.

Just got a phone call from PIP.
They were checking that all my details were the same.. same address, same bank, etc.

They're now going to "re-activate my account" (making it sound more like a Netflix account or something!!) and will be sending me out a letter with a few checkpoints on it.

... bloody hell, it doesn't half drag on!!
