So, E3 next week then chaps. What games are you hoping to see? I'm hoping for the following on Switch - Animal Crossing, Plants vs Zombies 2, Metroid. What dreams may come?

|edit| And Pikmin 4. How could I possibly have forgotten that?!

I'm hoping there's some new system features being unveiled
The system has a theme select option with two rather bland options. I'm about 95% sure they did that on purpose, and I'm looking forward to seeing what additional themes there might be.
Also, Virtual Console.. come on, GameCube!!!!

Not looking forward to anything really. The new elder scrolls might be released two years from now and that is the only game I am interested in.

I am going to watch as much presentations as possible. I might be suprised by something.

Virtual console for Switch.
SNES Classic mini console.
hints at VR headset?
Genuine Mariokart 9 would be nice.
Some sort of genuine indi-games sandbox like petit computer for the DSi.

Currently watching the Ubisoft stream.
Started with the Mario + Rabbids things, which looked interesting, but very very slow!
Like they'd tried to make "controller based RTS" but somehow got stuck on the fact that the controller's not as fast as the mouse, so slowed everything down to fit.

Future Cop:LAPD's multiplayer mode is still my favourite controller-based RTS.

They're now showing a racing game whose name I've already forgotten, with racing in boats, planes and cars.
Looks nice, and open-world'ly, too. Which means I'd get completely sodding well lost every single race, because I'm shit at following tracks!

(The Crew 2 - On everything but Switch)

It's weird but I'm not really fussed about E3 again this year.

I think Rabbids is a TBS, not RTS. If that's the case (and it very much looks like it), then I'm a happy bunny. Err... Rabbid!

Love me some TBS

I'm looking forward to MvR more than Splatoon and every other game announce so far TBH.

Saw an awful lot of high quality "games" there, on the UbiSoft thing, but in the majority of cases, especially BG&E2, I felt like they'd be shows I'd enjoy watching, not games I'd enjoy playing.

Everyone and their gran praised Beyond Good & Evil. It was rubbish. It was a poor man's Zelda wannabe with dull characters, dull story and dull dialogue. I completed the game and never did get any real enjoyment from it. I was just ompelled to see what the fuss was all about.

And the thing is, despite all that alleged praise from press and punters - the punters never actually bought it. Did anyone, other than me, buy it?

So while everyone and their gran mught be looking forward to BG&E 2, I'm not. I don't care about it one little bit. And the same for pretty much every UbisSoft game too tbh. Except Rabbids. That looks fun, but I'll still wait for a demo and read reviews before buying.

Any Ataribox showing?
Is Atari nee Infogrames making the thing, or is it coming from Atari Games as owned by Time Warner? I'd assume Infogrames, as I thought Midway had given up the Atari name entirely before Time Warner bought them.

The email they sent me seems to suggest it'll be a few weeks before any info's available, so I don't think we'll be hearing anything during e3.

I might be wrong, though...?

So... A couple of "reveals" of games, but nothing to really look forward to this year.

Yoshi looks great - have I mentioned my love of Yshi before? I think I hve. Announcement of Metroid Prime 4 - Yay!!. FE Warriors takes my fancy as I love the Warriors games, but it's not going to be a rush out and buy game.

So... Meh. Hopefully more will be revealed in TreeHouse and e£ itself. I'm not counting on it though.

|edit| Very telling that not a single 3DS title was announced...

Things that weren't announced.
WarioWare
Rhythm Tengoku
Animal Crossing
Virtual Console
Switch Features (online, themes, etc)

Booooo!!!!!

But, Yeah, nice and short and exactly to the point.

They're showing off Odyssey in the Treehouse. Some nice 2D elements in it!
(Like how Zelda - Between Worlds did it)

I'm worried they've morphed MarioKart too far, and FZero wouldn't have much of a distinction, any more.
I think the best you can hope for is a complete FZero DLC add on for MK..

I'd love to be wrong, but the last good FZero (imo) was made by Sega!!!

Yeah, MarioKart really has become F-Zero GX in the latest version. Personally I think MK has evolved too far and is even less about karting now than it ever was.

I still prefer Diddy Kong racing to all the MK games.

I dunno, F-Zero was way more racey and instense to me than Mario Kart. GX was truly amazing and still holds up today. But I'm still holding out for a new one, although I fear I may well be waiting forever for that :/

Diddy Kong or Mario kart n64 v1, I think plane mode on Diddy swings it for moi also. As for looking forward to new games, not much for me.

I always like mariokart 64. The problem is though, as the game has evolved, the controls have got much better, so playing the older versions is trickier that you expect. SNES version especially.
