Take it easy, and enjoy the freedom while it lasts! But be sure to keep those legs going. Exercise bike? Treadmill? Daily stroll, perhaps..?

Spent all day yesterday trying to downgrade my ipad ios version only to find out it can no longer be done without a mac (because completely unofficial tools with terrible windows versions). Then discover that the mac mini is insanely out of date and needs days of updates just to work.

oh, and a little bored

Ugh.. I hear you, there..

My MacMini ALWAYS seems to be updating, when I'm trying to use it.
Gawd..

My laptop does background updates, when in sleep mode.. why can't the Mac.

Now it decided that because (probably) I didn't step through each version of OSX, I can't install el capitan, however, it will not let me boot up from my hdd! grrrr so it's now stuck refusing to install. Currently trying to find a way to copy the installer to usb or something so I dont have to download it again

|edit| -- ohhh, apparently el capitan wont install if it's 2016 or later. changed system date to jan 2015. Lets see if this helps

-- it's got further already! If all goes well, I'll create an iso of the installer and perhaps make a virtual version of my mac on my windows laptop. that'd be weird.

After the at least another three weeks announcement on the twitters earlier, not great, going slightly insane at the prospect of not seeing the kids for probably another month.

Work's being a shitter, not the people just my attitude with my code. It seems to be falling apart at the seams and it's costing money. Isolation has lost my urge to work on work things effectively and I just want to be beside the kids again or at least working from work.

I honestly dunno if I'll have a job after all this, I imght just get sick of being near a screen at that point. But my heads all over the place right now.

Glad that we're past the peak of daily cases though, flu seasons over and the heat will off the rest of this fucking thing.

Weird thing is when you look at how Sweden have dealt with it and compare and contrast.

Eurghh, sorry, feel like I'm close to the rants and ravings of a madman.

Just know that you're keeping your kids 1-contact-point safer.

I feel a bit like an inmate expecting his lawyer to bring good news.... (Today some of the corona measures may be lifted in the Netherlands, maybe that has something to do with it).....
Kitty (my cat) is keeping me company a lot.... Sitting on my lap purring to me, as I am writing this message... She's very very sweet.

Did I ever show her? Well, if not, here she is

Anyway, I am right now trying to script a very complicated boss in my RPG game... Complicated for me as the game's developer, as for the player the boss may be easy to understand. So I am expecting having to deal with a lot of bugs the upcoming time.

She really is as sweet as she looks... well most of the time, as she can be naughty....
And thanks for the encouragement... This boss will be harder to code than to defeat in game... I think....

That is a beautiful kitty @Tricky, I do love me some cats but have never had a pet.

Things are slightly on the up again now, allowed to go back to work at work, walking in and back which is a nice 15km total, so there's some normality and schedule back in my life thank flip.

Have had to give up on this ruddy bug with Safari 13.1 and works website though, it's just not going to work out and I've spent ~£150 in total testing it out from home. Had today off and back on it tomorrow. Done a bunch of cleaning, got a lot more to do.

Yup still missing the kids but having some interaction with people and getting some proper exercisey routine has helped my mood out massively. Gonna do a video thing with my daughter tonight and read her some bedtime stories which will be rather nice.

Looking forward to when this is all over with.

These 30 day weekends are causing a few issues with my body clock. Other than that were holding up OK. Going for a walk every few days that sort of thing.

On the tech side, Got my mac mini working properly, got my iPad downgraded to iOS 6. Unlike with iOS 9, the thing is actually quite responsive and fast(ish). Only thing is most apps require higher OS to work. but most of the apps I used still work so that's OK. Why can't apple admit when their OS is too much for the hardware and NOT force it on you? I they'd have cut it off at 7 or 8 I would have been more than happy.

Started work on Dad's website over the weekend just gone, from scratch of course, might use it as a template for myself in the future again.

Took the bus to work today as it was pissing it down, ended up having a whole bus to myself!

Awaiting eBay bits to sew a surprise custom skirt for Layla (pink and purple with lil patterns of cats and penguins).

Been doing more walking to and jogging from work.

Just been finishing up my game jam entry, it's yet another attempt to remake 'Joe' and have it anywhere near as good as the original.

But yeah, this week seems to have gone by fast.

I have been experimenting with ai again. This time I tried to get some ai working with heatmaps which are some sort of influence maps I guess. I abort paths that go through these heatmaps as they are where bullets have recently gone across.

I have also been working my way into rts programming something. For this I have been updating my sprite editor while using it to create a Dune 2 sprite and tile set.

I have been using Raylib and C for a month now or something..
