Soooooo, Badvent Calendars then? What a load of old shit! Can't find one good/bad enough yet. Anyone else joining in the ’’fun’’ this year?

I'm going for the Back to the Future Playmobil calendar this year.

I wouldn't bother with that one - it's a bit shit! It's some generic Playmobil bits with additional cardboard to represent a scene from the film. There's barely anything worth the entry price - and definitely no car!

Did get wife a Boots No.7 beauty calendar though - so at least I get some browny points

*spoilers*! !

I've ordered the DegustaBox calendar, but nothing else has sprung out as particularly interesting looking.
There's an alarming number of "omg! Magic wire ring puzzles!!" calendars out there, this year, alongside ladies cosmetics and overpriced alcoholic ones, but.. yeah, bit shit this year..

I thought the figures didn't look too bad for the Playmobil calendar, but the rest of the stuff look a bit shit. Maybe I'll go for the Lego one again.

Scoured for an hour... found a Jam one, which claims to have 24 flavours in it.
It'd better bloody well have!!!

Decided that "on Digestives" might work well, so went hunting for those little packets they have in cafes. A pack of 48 of those (2 biscuits per "sachet") costs £20 on Amazon. FFS.
And with 48 packs, I'd have 24 packs left after all the jams.

... That evens out nicely enough, so I asked Mum if she'd like the Jam calendar, too.

God damnit, Rockford, you've cost me a fortune this morning!!

I saw the BTTF calendar and did consider it briefly, but as crap as it may be, it's still too good for my Badvent Calendar.

I might have to actually find a proper one this year

I got a dispatch email from Germany this morning. "Fooooook!" thought I.

Mr Postman brings said advent calendar two hours later. "Yay" says I.

Just another couple of days...

Hopefully Ashens & co. will do theirs again this year. And any others that might be worth watching for jollies.

I also received an Advent-related email, this morning. They're warning that the little booklet that came with the calendar has the items listed in the wrong order, (either that or they put the items behind the wrong doors!) and have warned not to read the original booklet for fear of spoilers. Instead, they sent a link to an online version of the booklet.

I imagine the booklet is no more than those little blurbs for each item that I used to get on a sheet with each box.

Haven't looked.

No spoilers!!

No spoilers is indeed the way to go.
