Teaching Tuesday

Can you teach us something that's somehow relevant to this week's theme? Maybe a link to something useful, or even writing up a small tutorial.

If you buy a 3D printer, ensure you use it, and don't let the plastic in the spool become brittle and useable because you left it sitting for 4 or 5 months without use.

What have you done this week? This needn't be relevant to this week's theme. Just let us know what you're up to.

Spent last week with the kids which was great.
Discovered what seems to be a wasps nest . eeep.
More coding and re-optimising of the new website, features, etc, you know the usual.
Regular stuff, cleaning, cooking, etc.

Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also!

JSE

Working on Optimising some more, whilst also adding Achievements in the background. Those seem to be functioning ok, but now I need to store them, and then I'm realising the way JSE saves everything is kinda getting a bit muddled, so I'm thinking that might need an overhaul.

... uhoh!!!
Back up, everyone!!!

SmileBASIC

The SmileBASIC framework is pretty much complete, and is almost ready for launch, but I need to add music first, so I worked on a mini version of JMTrackr for SmileBASIC yesterday, and .. it kinda worked, but is all "plinky plunky" again. Needs a bit more organisation insofar as the instruments go. I'm thinking groups of matching instruments will likely work better than "any old random GM instrument!"

Woke up with "9,9,6" in my head, so I guess I'm doing that, today. (notes currently all have multiples of 8 for their length, but if I stagger it to 9,9,6, it should give it more of a Swing.)
