Why do they have to keep making stuff obselete... I like HTML the way it is. By all means, they can add new stuff, but I hate it when they remove things...

I don't think they're going to remove things. Just make things obsolete and provide better support for things. That's what I understood from the article - HTML will continue to ignore unknown tags, and the content will still be displayed.

all pages should specify the versioning information anyway; so long as you specify that you're using html 4 or whatever, then you're good to go.
