Government Shutdown

8th April 2011

Here is an update on the situation.
One issue is still on the table, the funding of Planned Parenthood for $7 billion dollars (0.2% of the budget). This is a program that provides millions of women free healthcare services. It saved 93,000 lives last year*snip*

Government Shutdown

The Republicans were pulling some crap earlier. They proposed a bill to continue to fund the troops even if the government is shut down. They also tacked some abortion legislation on to that. The Democrats of course didn't go for the bill because of the ab*snip*

I'm going to probably be the first to say that I don't like the shoutbox stuff in the forums. It's making it way too spamy. Sure, we want to encourage more forum activity, but if it's all junk quality then it's pointless. It will only further damage the fo*snip*

On top of the suggestion of using a framework, I would like to point out that not following MVC was a big mistake of mine early on. It will make your life FAR easier to just do it from day one. Luckily, most frameworks follow MVC.
