Could not get outside work done due to all of the smoke from the wildfires outside of town. Can't breathe in that.

[BMAX] - Generics, Function References, Boxing, Type Extension

You will need BlitzMax NG for this.
This shows how to extend a Type in Blitzmax and add additional interfaces using function references.
I would have papered over the superclass' methods but BlitzMax wasn't having the method signature change...

Looks like an interface to a collection such that you don't have to provide typical loops.
There is a time and place for loops but they can easily be removed in some cases by more elegant operations.
These operations usually are what's known as &*snip*

I demolished and began restructuring Browsercade. It's going to be a long long trawl to get everything back the way it was.
Meanwhile, I set about adding an ''Iterate'' command into JSE (not uploaded yet). It's messy, and it pretty much *snip*

In 95% of cases, it's running fast enough that it doesn't need to be compiled.
It's the 5% of cases that I'm currently working to optimise, and I think those would be better as commands rather than trying to eek any more speed out of the e*snip*

I don't think it did ''that'' badly.
It only really miscounted, if anything. And we've seen the AI's not only miscount on a bazillion occasions, but also then be pretty damn stubborn about how it absolutely didn't miscount, and yo*snip*

Some telling results.
It's interesting that a child can classify with a single image.
There have been some concerns that we're ''doin' it wrong'' when it comes to the way AI is currently being implemented.

Yeah, functions have their purpose, but also.. There is the simple fact that JSE isn't 100% blazingly fast.
Javascript will still beat JSE, because JSE is being interpreted by the Javascript, and you just can't get around that.

Once a good approach is found it will be nice to have those things especially for modularity!
Once functions are in users can share and reuse code more easily. I could rattle off a vector libr*snip*
