Google Chrome OS

9th July 2009

Yeah, well I'm not really expecting it to happen. But I'm just considering that Google has a lot of money to push things with, and I don't like the notion of yet another OS to break us poor programmers apart.

New PC Deal Discussion

9th July 2009

I'm using a laptop, because I like being able to move it around easily. Obviously. Unless you feel that you really need this I would recommend getting a desktop, since it's a bit cheaper. I also think you should build your own, since that's also a lot more*snip*

Google Chrome OS

9th July 2009

Google seems to try to expand into all different kinds of areas; with their Microsoft Office web clones, the Wave protocol, Chrome and now an OS.
I really hope that this new OS doesn't really take off though (i.e. more than just a couple of percentages of*snip*

The Wednesday Workshops

2nd July 2009

I see your reasoning with the Wednesday Workshops. I'll admit that I've had a good time making entries (of varying quality!), and I have a couple of unfinished ones too. So, WWs stay put.
But what about the competition? Anyone interested in a SoCoder comp*snip*

The Wednesday Workshops

30th June 2009

Seems to be fairly little interest in changing the WWs. I'm slightly disappointed, actually. How about a real competition then? Not a reoccuring one; a one-off event, an actual competition with prizes, judging and rock n' roll? We have never had one.

Menu bars are superfluous

30th June 2009

At least partly. In Firefox I have it tucked away in the top-right corner, on the same row as the address bar and the search bar. If I could, I'd remove it altogether. But the menu bar is so useless in many other programs too, or at least only used for a h*snip*
