Lost Coast was free for everyone when it first came out and I'd be surprised if it wasn't any more. I have Portal and had First Slice too, and I would say that it does not reflect the full game. It's far, far, far better.

Lost Coast was free for people that owned HL2, but if you didn't it wasn't. So, its good for people who haven't played anything in the HL2 series. If all else, peggle extreem is an interesting puzzle game.

Not to be outdone, I found a (less impressive) ATI option... But I got all that with HL2: Episode One

If you bought a specific card, you also receive "The Black Box" which had quite a lot in it, including HL2: Episode Two

Oh and anyone with an Intel Core 2 gets some Half Life content too.
