Socoder -> Concept/Design -> Script support...

I'm thinking of maybe possibly adding the support for scripts to Afr0Messenger. That way, people can write their own bots more easily without having to deal with logging in through the horrible protocol. Thus, I have some questions;

- What language should I use?
- Is there any way I could allow bots to send messages to people and still limit the amount of viruses developed? Maybe not allow bots to send files, perhaps not even links.
- What are some useful features you could see an MSN bot perform? Maybe record conversations in realtime so that if you're AFK and the power goes out, your conversations will still be there? Or connect to Windows Media Player and Winamp and change your status to reflect the songs you're playing? The official client already supports this, but only with Windows Media Player.

If you did the scripting as a .net library then couldn't people just use any .net language?

I would like to be able to login to MSN Messenger multiple times with different accounts. I've been wanting to move from my current e-mail address over to a new one a while now (cos I only use it for MSN). This would allow me to run both the old and the new accounts side by side in a single app for a year or two until I fully switch over.

Sounds like an idea! But why not just launch the app two times though? Any idea for how I would design Afr0Messenger to make such a proposal feasible in terms of user interface?

You can't open MSN Messenger twice.

That's kinda my point, I want to look exactly the same. I want it to look like I'm using one account, not two. It's just that internally there are two lists and internally it logs in twice.
