What are you doing tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this)?

Myself, I'm going to try to get to school without killing myself and avoiding the temptation to program.

I remember one Friday the 13th when I was nearly rammed by a bus because I saw a black cat walk across the road. Maybe I should just stay home tomorrow...

Last Friday 13th, my sister broke her arm!! So, I guess she's staying in.

My new PC is due on/by tomorrow, and hasn't yet turned up.
..
I'm not expecting it to turn up tomorrow, or if it does, it'll have a ginormous crack in the screen or something!!!

I have a milestone due for my third year project tomorrowz. It looks like it'll be easily complete on time.

So expect me bitching about a mysterious hard disk failure that looses all of my work on Saturday.

My Friday 13th was going really well, until the evening when my laptop decided to go all funky. When shut down, it shuts down as normal, but once the screen has gone off and it should be shut down, it remains turned on (the power light and fan remain on). Upon restarting, the date and time are the same as when it was shut down.

Argh.

The worst part was, my parents went out for the night, and said I had to be in bed by 11pm. When they got back at 11:30, my clock said 9:30, so I thought they were back early. *facepalm*

Further experimentation shows that the clock doesn't stop between shut downs, it just forgets to move the hour hand on. ie I reset the clock to the correct time this morning, so it went: 8:30 -> 8:59 -> 8:00.

As it happens I was born on the 13th, and I turned out alright. Unfortunately it wasn't a Friday.

Well, crisis somehow averted. One run of chkdsk later, the problem has magically fixed itself. How odd. It's probably because it realised that the date was not Friday 13th any more!

shroom, the computer messed with the time because it didn't want it to be the 13th. Now that it's over, it has no reason to mess with your clock anymore.

Ran an Ubuntu update yesterday (Fri 13), and it completely crashed and failed to reboot. Spend 2 hours at work trying to fit it from the command line (need the computer to do my job!). This lead to me rushing to finish the jobs for a few clients and I was late to my movie. Saw 2012, which it came out in theaters yesterday, so it was packed--we got shitty seats.

Damn linux... making me late to movies.

For me the Friday went by fairly ok.
Almost broke up with my GF, but that didn't happen, so all is well. Strange day though.

Stealth it was packed--we got shitty seats.

I enjoy going to the cinemas here in Beijing.
Chinese people really don't pack to the big english speaking movies. Cheap and always get good seats!

Well, my Fri 13 went just as well as any other day. I guess partly because I don't believe in such nonsense, also, Friday 13th was mostly made unlucky be early christians, who in a bid to take over the world, changed 13 from pagan LUCKY number to a Christian UNlucky number. But that's neither her nor there, less people go out on Friday 13th, so the roads are safer.
