Looks like they did the same as they did with Larry and Monkey Island. Different art style that just does not feel the same as the originals.

Didn't Chris Barrie do the voice over back in the day? Yeah it looks different and as much as I love the look of the old pixel games we can't expect new games to look then same.

Chris only did the voice for the first.
There was also a second and then a 3D (blocky old early-days) adventure, too. I can't remember off the top of my head who voiced those two, and whether it was the same guy...?
Too lazy to Google it!

My wife and son loved these, they completed all three I think.

I got one of these as a freebie from that retro event all that time ago. I met Ian, hitman, Rob, peejay and a few others there. Had to sit through a QA talk that descended into a rant at how bad it is to work in the games industry with the constant crunches...was interesting to hear for the first 20 minutes but I think they were still going an hour or so later. At least it felt that long.

On that subject anyone remember Cobra? It was introduced there, looked promising at the time.

Yea, so the art style is a bit jarring for us old timers...guess they need to make it relevant for the modern age but I'm not sure they have got it right.

Yeah, I remember that EA/games industry rant...

I bought Cobra. It was... strange and not as fast as PlayBASIC or BlitzMax, so I dropped it pretty quickly. It was promising though. What ever happened to that and its creator?

Back on topic - I enjoyed the first game, but never played the others.
