I was playing these games in the folder of "My HP Games" of my new and slightly used computer. One in particular that caught my attention was Barn Yard Invasion.
With the opening logo, I thought you had to command and pilot a UFO to abduct certain farm animals on certain farms. I said hey this looks cool and similar to blankos' Doomed Planet.
But I was wrong...more like a macth 3 type of clone puzzle game of matching certain farm animals and dragging or clicking them with the mouse to put in a stationary UFO that is slighty hidden in the barn house. Yuck!
Didn't hold my attention nor focus for long. Just for a few minutes. Looked like it was made with Torque too.
The graphics were great but the game play wasn't that good and neither the game design. Same thing could be said for Shrek Ogre bowling too.

They were all sponsored by HP and Wild Tangent. I wonder how much perks and/or cash value Wild Tangent paid to HP to put these games on their brand computers??

Geh, that must be the 'shovel-ware' HP loads onto their new computers. Wild Tangent games are mostly garbage anyway. Plus, I heard once that the company got in trouble for spyware or something along those lines.

really? serious, that Wild Tangent used to place spyware and adware in their games??
I'm definitely going to remove Wild Tangent and these games too.

thanks guys.

another one that I keep watch from time to time is Starforce. I didn't know what this was until I bought and installed Restricted Area. Cool game and with a nice story and plot.

But after I read about these:

www.glop.org/starforce/

and also wiki.boycottstarforce.net/index.php/Game_list

I guess I'll stick to play some of my old games...the ones that I haven't finished or even nearly finished. Like Might and Magic 6 and Fallout 2.

I have kept a few like Bookworm Deluxe, Lemonade Tycoon, and even Mahjong Ouest. I shoveled and buried the others for good.
