Socoder -> On Topic -> The ''2Bees'' entries

Jayenkai
JL235 : Coldwar Chaos
JL235 : Planetoids
Afr0 : Operation Sourcecode
Jayenkai : Blockman Gets

Things to be learned from this experiment.
1. There really oughta be a seperation between "A team of 6 guys made this game, it took them 12 months." and "1 guy made this within the allocated time of the compo."
2. That was a quite popular compo, wasn't it!! 150 entries, apparently!

Thirded!

But on the other hand, I think publishers would be more inclined to give a publishing deal to a team of 6 guys who worked on it for 12 months then 1 guy who worked on it for 2 weeks.

Finally, it really annoys me that their CSS stretches screenshots. It looks terrible. I also submitted a youtube video with my Planetoids entry and e-mailed them about it, yet it's missing. I'm going to write a stern e-mail to Tony when I get home!

Thanks, although the music is by this guy and after a chat to my brother I'm planning to make some changes to the game.

Lots of people enjoy the game once they have worked out how to play it. The issue is that it often takes over 10 minutes for them to work it out and so most people just give up on it.

I also e-mailed 2Bees earlier, forwarding on the e-mail where they said they would make sure Planetoids has it's YouTube video embedded, and they have since resolved the issue. That is one good thing about the site, they act quickly on support queries.

We should get together and make a SoCoder entry, perhaps an official one to compete against Jay on his own site.
