I realise that the whole point was about them being lizards, but surely even lizards would eat better bunch of food where available? I bet any old carnivorous reptile would sit down to a nice burger or chicken if given the choice.

Well, it's stated at some point in the original miniseries that they only eat live food (that's why all the humans in the coolers on their ships are still alive)- though that always made me wonder how they will use humans for food. It's not like one of them could swallow one of us whole.

This one also seems to have the munchies. I still remember nearly pissing myself laughing when I first saw this.

I remember hearing about that series. What ever happened? How did it end?

The original or the re-hash from the other year?

I know it was on, in the house, when I was a kid. My sister has fond memories of it.
I just can't honestly remember it, at all!

Jay must've been coding

I watched most of the remake, it was alright, if only a tad too slow for my liking. Miniseries shouldn't need padding. Kinda defeats the point, imo.

I gave up on the new remake/Mini-series after two episodes. Too dull.

The original miniseries ends with the rebels transmitting messages into space, hoping to get the attention of the Visitors' enemies, and hunkering down for a long fight.

The second original miniseries ends with the rebels making the planet a biohazard for the Visitors with some magical insta-kill virus that only affects Visitors which they mass-produced and spread around the globe. Then Diana decides to use her mothership's ultimate weapon to destroy the whole planet in retaliation, but the halfbreed girl turns all glowy for no apparent reason and magically shuts it down.

The original series that followed lasted about four episodes before you could tell the writers had completely run out of ideas and were just making up bullshit as they went along. It didn't often carry forward any over-all plot, was filled with ridiculous troll-science and incontinuities, and just kind of petered out. It had a cliffhanger ending, but I don't think anyone gave a damn by then.

(I never got a chance to see more than 5 minutes of the new/revised series)
