this question is for you guys, or girls, that fiddle with everything they acquire. When you select use option use software redering in stead of GPU rendering, how does that selection afffect the performance of a persons machine?

Software rendering is inevitably slower, and generally seems to appear darker IMO. It's really only useful when hardware rendering is incompatible with your drivers for some reason.
