Well, that didn't happen :\

I didn't expect SpikeDislike2 to get picked for the AppStore frontpage, and I also didn't expect Hoppy Bobby to get picked, either, so when neither of those appeared anywhere significant on the AppStore, I wasn't at all surprised.

..
But BlastTrax felt like it could do it.
Over the course of only 3 days, it's managed to rack up 7 blogged reviews and a YouTube video review.
That's an insane amount of interest, and I honestly felt like it would be enough to put it up on Apple's pedestal.

Unfortunately, it's not, and so the game will probably now fade out of existence, and disappear into the same obscurity as all my other games.

Ho-Hum :\

TouchArcade finally got around to BlastTrax (ffs, that's an entire bloody week!!) and they found it to be boring, dull and repetitive.

3.5 out of 5

They complained that the music (there is no music, there are only jingles) is overly repetitive, and that there's not many enemy, and that you have to (god forbid) restart if you die.
Awww, didums..

They also complained that it's "better in short bursts", as if they imagined some sort of crazy utopia where you could sit and play a retro space-shooter for hours at a time..

*sigh*

Still, even with those gripes, they gave it 3.5/5, which, quite frankly is a fairly decent score, especially for a boring, dull, repetitive game that they didn't seem to enjoy.

I'm quite happy with that!
