Any particular reason you'd want to?

You can still sideload apks onto the ouya afaik if this helps out. Netflix, etc seem to run with little hassle.

The issue is currently -
Google for an apk, can only download free ones from google play website through a plugin. manually install through adb, or push through adb and install on ouya side.

seems a bit clumsy when I could just search from the official app running on the ouya and install from there.

There's a lot of stuff about rooting on the "ouyaforum.com" site. IIRC there's "rooting" provided by OUYA which what it enables has varied over time, and there's real rooting which is all techie and may require recompiling things depending.
