 		In the past 30/40 years, LED technology has come along in leaps and bounds.

I understand the need to show off, and that sometimes even the super-bright LEDs are probably the cheaper option.

But can we PLEASE start using crapped out 1970s style LEDs again, in certain places?

Take, for example, my new fan, which looks approximately like this..

I've selotaped a piece of cardboard over the top of the thing, now. Looks like ass, but at least I'm not being blinded every time it rotates in my general direction.
