Unless they've done anything with the recommended version of linux they insist works fine, then I still see no point in it. imho if you're going to release some hardware, at least make sure the video driver software is capable of using that hardware.

The extra USB ports could come in handy. This may be the better one to go for if it's your first, as it's the same price as the standard Model-B. It's probably not worth replacing a standard Model-B with this one, I might consider it though as mine is only 256MB.

Still to slow for me... Last time I developed for it, I used Vala on a standard x86 Linux box, then just transferred the source over and rebuild it on the Pi.

It's a cool idea, but when people say they enjoy devving on it... Well, their talking bollocks!
